The film, from 'Trollhunter' director Andre Ovredal, is being sold in Cannes by IM Global.

Nat Wolff (The Fault in Our Stars, Paper Towns) is set to star in Mortal, the upcoming fantasy adventure from Norwegian filmmaker Andre Ovredal (The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Trollhunter).

Written by Ovredal, Norman Lesperance and Geoff Bussetil, the film is a coming-of-age origins story of a young man (Wolff) discovering he has God-like powers based on ancient Norwegian mythology.

The casting was announced by producers Nordisk Film’s John Einar Hagen, Automatik’s Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and 42’s Ben Pugh and Rory Aitken.

IM Global is handling international sales on the feature at the ongoing Cannes Film Market. Nordisk Film will distribute the pic in the Nordic countries. WME is handling U.S. sales.

 

Iben Akerlie Cast In ‘Mortal’

Norwegian actress Iben Akerlie is set to co-star in André Ovredal’s adventure fantasy film Mortal, along with Nat Wolff and Priyanka Bose. Written by Ovredal, Norman Lesperance and Geoff Bussetil, the pic follows Eric Johansen (Wolff), who is actively pursued by the police after his powers have killed people and caused tragedy.

Rounding out the trio of new titles is psychological thriller Reclusion, about a young couple who awaken a terrible force when they attempt to socialise their reclusive neighbour.

Norman Lesperance directed from a screenplay by the film’s producer Nicholas Bianchi. Chelsea Gilligan, Lauren Maher and Mitch Holden star.
